Soja2's Grand Re-Opening Party this Saturday, October 23rd!

Come on down tomorrow, Saturday afternoon for this great party. Join us for a day of celebration!  "re-Open" Soja @ Jack London Square with us! We've been here for almost a year now; we've grown our roots, sprouted some leaves!  We want to celebrate with you, our community!

An Evening w/ Caballo Blanco

An Evening w/ Caballo Blanco - The Tarahumara &the Copper Canyon Ultramarathon - Special one time only Fundraising event at Soja 2406 Webster Street - Feel free to forward this to a friend.
Caballo Blanco, the person responsible for organizing the now famous Copper Canyon Ultra Marathon, in the book "Born to R...un," will appear for an hour long discussion about how he starting living with the Tarahumara Indians in Northern Mexico, and how the Copper Canyon Ultra Marathon was founded, and the work he's been doing lately with Norawas de Raramuri (www.norawas.org) the nonprofit organization.

Your suggested donation of $15 - 20 goes directly to the Norawas organization.
No one will be turned away for lack of funds.

The format for tonight's event:
60 minute photo presentation followed by Q&A. During this presentation he will show photos on a large screen of the 2006 Copper Canyon Ultra Marathon.

"Norawas de RarĂ¡muri was established in July of 2009 by several members of a group known as Club Mas Loco. This group is made up of a seemingly random collection of people from around the world, all brought together through running Caballo Blanco’s Copper Canyon Ultra Marathon."

Soja Mind / Body is located in north Oakland's Uptown District. There is plenty of free on street parking at this hour, yellow zones included. The 19th BART station is a five minute walk, but if you're interested in this event, you just might want to jog there. :)
